The Challenger, in its single-seat version, can be built as an ultralight vehicle. The government doesn't seem to think an UL is an airplane, and it's on that technicality that people like me, who love to fly but aren't really interested in spending the kind of money that is involved in going the conventional way and getting a private certificate -- people like me can fly one of these wonderful toys without a license of any kind. |
